Bardens’ Angels
Bardens’ Angels provides an opportunity for Quester members to meet once a year for a pleasant day of camaraderie, food, fun and a learning opportunity. In past years, this event was restricted to chapter presidents (current and past) but participation dwindled to the point that the Board considered discontinuing the outing. After some discussion with our International President, it was decided to try another approach and that was to open it to all Florida members. At this point, this is a trial effort.
Our latest Bardens’ Angels outing was held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 to beautiful Bok Tower Gardens, which was in the early stages of Christmas decorations.
This serene, 250-acre contemplative garden and bird sanctuary is located on one of the highest points of peninsular Florida, atop Iron Mountain in Lake Wales. This designated National Historic Landmark features the renowned Singing Tower carillon and the historic Pinewood Estate mansion.
Questers from 5 of Florida’s 16 chapters participated as follows: Turnbull #1486 (3), Treasured Memories #1096 (4), Survey Creek #1392 (2), Treasure Coast #1152 (8), and Nautilus #909 (6).
An enjoyable time was had by everyone who participated. For more details and pictures from the outing, see page 10 of the Spring 2026 Cracker Crumbs.
