In Memory
Kay Lyndahl
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Kay Lyndahl’s passing on February 15th, 2026. Kay served as Florida State President from 2018-2020. She was also on the 2017 International Convention Committee as Publicity Chair.
Originally from Michigan, Wisconsin became her home when she and Dale married. She enjoyed Florida during the winter months – especially when she could golf. She was proud of her degree in nutrition and I was often invited to enjoy some of her excellent cuisine.
Kay was a very private person, “prim and proper” would describe her accurately. She always maintained a quiet, regal air. I was often asked to join her on her frequent shopping sprees. She also enjoyed playing Mexican Train and her eagle eyes kept track of the tiles played and whose turn it was to play next. She’ll be dearly missed.

Ann Mevers
The Questers of Florida say ”Good Bye” to Ann Mevers, Past Florida State President from 2016 to 2018.
Ann passed away in October, 2025. Ann was a member of Ponce de Leon #183. When that chapter disbanded, she joined Treasured Memories #1096. Ann had a wonderful collection of Lighthouses which she shared.
Ann became ill and her two amazing daughters were with her to help her.

Gloria Douglas
Gloria Douglas was born in Michigan on December 3, 1924. She passed away peacefully at age 100 in her native state on May 15, 2025. She is survived by sons, Craig (Margaret), Kenneth (Joyce), and David. She was grandmother to 11, had 30 great grands and 20 great, great grandchildren. Wow! She is predeceased by loving husband Jack, son, John, brother Richard, granddaughter Kate Fogel and sister-in-law Sarah Douglas.
Gloria and Jack moved from Michigan to Pinellas County, Florida and operated a print shop. She was a member of “Friends of the Library” and worked for 20 years at the Seminole Community Library. Her love of preserving our past history was reflected in her long time membership in the Pinellas County Historical Society. She was a founding member and a library nook was named in her honor.
Gloria was the backbone of the Questers where she served as National President 1984-86, Florida State President 1978-80 and an honorary lifetime Quester member. She was the “go to” person for any inquiries about Questers and a huge asset to her local Florida Chapter, Ponce de Leon #183 for over 40 years. Her memory was phenomenal and the friendships formed unbreakable. I think of Gloria with love and admiration, Joanne Read, Ponce de Leon #183.
